When it comes to the style of photos you prefer, Cornerstone Photography has got you covered. Each of our photographers specializes in a variety of styles so that the one you choose will capture your day just as you had imagined. When considering how you want your day captured there are a number of different approaches you can take, but to simplify things we’ve broken them down to three different types.
The photojournalistic or candid approach is the most popular request we hear from couples. This type of style has everything to do with capturing the moment without any interruption from the photographer. Moments are photographed as they are in their natural surroundings. This type of photography is used to document the day and show emotion as it really is.
The second type of style is what we’ve coined the phrase as forced photojournalism. When you see the images from a photographer using forced photojournalism, they’ll appear to be as natural and spontaneous as the candid approach, except this style has direction behind it. You photographer will give you some instructions of what they would like you do and then photograph you doing just that. The final photos will look very uncontrolled and unplanned but with all the style of a fashion shoot.
The final type is the traditional approach. This style is used mostly for formal photos posed with family members or friends. Here the photographer will take over and give full direction of where he or she would like everyone standing and posed. Most of these images the subjects are looking right into the camera. The majority of these types of photos are taken at the ceremony location where the bride and groom will pose with members of their wedding party and the different family members, or at the reception typically during the cocktail hour.
Whichever style you feel is best for your needs, or maybe even a mix of all three, our photographers are there to listen to your requests and give you a lifetime of memories for the most important day of your life.
